SXSW 2010, Music Festival

So I am off to SXSW for a variety of reasons…mixing business with pleasure; yes that’s okay!

Finding it very difficult to narrow down all the showcases and parties I wish to attend. With nearly 2,000 bands performing at about 90 different venues it’s a tough call. And that’s just the “official” SXSW. There is also the Red Gorilla Festival going on at the same time, as well as many additional artist showcases! I am doing my best to come up with a schedule, and double booking myself all over the place, as well as scheduling to see the same band more than once in hopes of actually catching at least one of the shows.

The best anyone can do is just schedule everything you want to see, then work from there. Go with your gut feeling each days when conflicts in schedule require a choice. Really you can’t go wrong, but you will be left with the feeling that you missed something even with all your running around all day and night for 4 days.
