Purple Melon is a band that came from the London area and now resides in Los Angeles. They have become a fixture on the L.A. rock scene with their high energy shows. In a musical landscape now bogged down in radio friendly pop, hip hop, or alternative rock, Purple Melon has managed to resurrect the classic sound of good time rock n’ roll while putting their own signature on it as well. If I had to make comparison for one to get an idea of what they sound like without actually hearing them, I would say think 70′s Rock (like Led Zeppelin and Fleetwood Mac) meets 80′s Rock (like Tesla and early Skid Row maybe) with a twist of a unique, fun sound.
