The band Verity in Stereo (formerly known as Hip Like Blank) hails from New Jersey/NY and in my belief should be big this year. I guess if we had to play the categorization game I would call them something along the lines of Indie pop/piano rock. Who knows really? It is no easy task to [...]

This is much like the deal with Sony last year when emusic subscribers suddenly found names like [...]

The latest album from 30 Seconds to Mars, entitled This is War, is one of those I just can’t quit listening to. Even as I write this, the album is blasting though my speakers.; blasting loud, being the best way to hear this one.

I must admit when 30 Seconds to [...]

Jimi Hendrix Lives Again! In the Valleys of Neptune…

Can you believe it? Okay, so Hendrix has not returned from the dead, but there will be, yet another, compilation CD being released on March 9th of this year. The CD, Valleys of Neptune, will boast a previously, commercially unreleased track called Valleys of Neptune. The song did appear before, back in 1990 on the [...]

Purple Melon: MyndJack Music’s Artist of the Week

Purple Melon is a band that came from the London area and now resides in Los Angeles. They have become a fixture on the L.A. rock scene with their high energy shows.  In a musical landscape now bogged down in radio friendly pop, hip hop, or alternative rock, Purple Melon has managed to resurrect the [...]
