MyndJack Music wishes all of you music fans out there a very Happy Thanksgiving! And of course, we are thankful for great music and artists all over the world. Thanks to all the singers/songwriters/musicians out there who make our lives a little better with the wonderful music they create.
Thirty years in the making it has now been announced that U2, arguably the biggest band in the world right now, will at long last be headlining one of the world’s greatest festivals, The Glastonbury Festival in the UK. From the band’s website: The band are due to play the opening night of the 40th Glastonbury Festival [...] The Rolling Stone blog is reporting that Fall Out Boy guitarist Joe Trohman and drummer Andy Hurley have joined forces with Scott Ian and Rob Caggiano of Anthrax, along with Keith Buckley and David Karon of Every Time I Die. The Strokes will be recording a new album in January. A Twitter post from bassist Nikolai Fraiture has become the source validating the speculation. He posted that he was scouting studios with the band’s manager and was very excited about it. Did MTV drop the ball at the Woodie Awards?
So Kings of Leon and Green Day are big winners at MTVu Woodie Awards, the awards for college radio. Did MTV get this all wrong? Siobhan Ozege at CHARTattack sure thinks so. Check out Siobhan’s article and see what you think. I tend to agree.
